I am trying something new and starting a blog all about being fit in your 40’s and the wonderful hormonal imbalance we have to deal with in our 40’s. I have been on a fitness journey for the majority of my adult life, I created this blog to share information on my journey and to hep inspire you to work on yourself.
Where did I come up with the name Hot Mom Fit Life?
AI helped me. I know I know, AI is the devil but I’m not a creative person at all and didn’t want to pay someone to come up with something for me and then design a logo after that.
Hot Mom has a double meaning here. Hot refers to hot flashes that we as women experience in our 40’s. I’ve been lucky so far to not have to deal with that yet as I’m always cold but it will be a shock to my system to be frozen one minute and hot the next. I know it’s coming, I have been overheating easier than I used to lately and am often cold but flushed, what a weird combination.
The hot also refers to us ladies being hot moms. Yes we are all gorgeous in our own way, own it and enjoy it! I know I have struggled with how I look, sometimes I love the way I look and other times, when the hormones get the best of me, I hate the wayI look and get all negative about myself. Sound familiar?
Fit Life came to be because I think it’s important to live a fit life, no matter your age. Fit can be different things for different people. For me, it’s strength training. For others it might be yoga or simply getting out and going for a walk to get fresh air. I’m here to inspire you to get out and move your body.
The logo I had created (I hired a real person to do it, the AI ones just didn’t do the name justice) brings to life the essence of this blog and I couldn’t be more happier with the result.
Along my journey, I found a company that manufactures and sells products to help improve your hormone health. I signed up but didn’t share anything with anyone until I tried the products for myself. I can safely say they have helped me immensely. To the point that when I run out of product I notice the difference in my mood and body almost right away. My cycle this month has been the worst its been in months. Emotions out of whack, very painful period cramps, and bad digestion to name a few.
I will share more details later once I wrap my head around hormones and how these products affect my body in a positive way. I will leave you with my progress photos. The left is from March 2023 and the right is recent. Not big changes but I see the difference.
